Nature-based Solutions on existing infrastructures for resilient Water Management in the Mediterranean

NATMed at EU Green Week 2025

Closing the Loop with Nature: Nature-based Solutions at the Heart of Innovation

Join us on June 13, 2025, at 14:00 (CET) for a joint webinar exploring how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can inspire and support the circular economy. Through real-life case studies and expert insights, we will examine innovative strategies to reduce waste, enhance biodiversity, and promote sustainable development across sectors such as water reuse, sustainable agriculture, and urban green infrastructure.

This event is jointly organised by three EU-funded projects (CARDIMED, NATMed, and DesirMED) working across the Mediterranean region to demonstrate how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can support climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, and resource efficiency.

As a partner event of EU Green Week 2025, this webinar contributes to the broader conversation around this year’s theme: “Clean, Competitive & Circular“. The 2025 edition of EU Green Week focuses on how circularity can drive sustainable competitiveness, reduce waste, increase strategic autonomy, and foster innovation, positioning the circular economy at the heart of Europe’s economic transformation.

The joint webinar will feature:
– An overview of how NbS contributes to circular economy models
– Case studies from Greece, Spain, and Portugal
– A panel discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and knowledge gaps in implementing NbS
– Key insights on the role of NbS in achieving a climate-resilient, resource-efficient future
