NATMed 2nd webinar on WATER Management

On September 4, 2025, the NATMed project held its 2nd webinar, bringing together partners and experts to exchange knowledge and practical solutions for sustainable water management in the Mediterranean.

Highlights included:

  • An introduction to NATMed’s nature-based solutions (NbS) approach and case studies.
  • Insights from the MEDISS Project, showcasing innovative initiatives in Palestine, Jordan, and Italy, including treated wastewater reuse, desalination, and ammonium recovery from livestock waste.
  • Discussions on the environmental and socio-economic impacts of these solutions, from improving soil health to reducing groundwater pollution.
  • A lively Q&A session exploring stakeholder engagement, scaling strategies, and the benefits of ammonium sulfate fertilizers.

The session gathered over 17 participants from across the consortium and external projects, creating an inspiring space for dialogue, collaboration, and future opportunities. A big thank you to our speakers, Mr. Monther Hind (Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group), and Mr. Amedeo Fadda (ENAS, Sardinia) for their valuable contributions.
