Nature-based Solutions on existing infrastructures for resilient Water Management in the Mediterranean

3rd periodic meeting of NATMed Prima Project ,Seville, Spain, 14-15 May 2024 – Case Study 1

The 3rd periodic meeting of the NATMed project took place in Seville, on 14-15 May, organized by the project partner Amaya (Agencia de Medio Ambiente y Agua de Andalucia) at the facilities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development, where the various planned activities were carried out.

The meeting focused on reviewing the progress made during the 1st year of the project across the different work packages, discuss lessons learnt and organize further steps.

The participants had the change to visit the CENTA experimental center in ‘Carrión de los Céspedes’ and familiarize themselves with the Nature based solutions implemented under the auspices of NATMed focusing on various wastewater treatments (through constructed wetlands, floating gardens and ultrasound emissions) and subsequent use of water in irrigation.

A huge thank you to Amaya for the warm hospitality and interesting case study tour!

Stay tuned for more updates on NATMed Prima Project and nature-based solutions.
