Nature-based Solutions on existing infrastructures for resilient Water Management in the Mediterranean

Carrión de los Céspedes, 2nd MedCoP co-design session, Spain, 27 February 2024 – Case study 1

Under the guidance of the NATMed partners AMAYA, CARTIF, Social Climate – Social innovation for climate action and NBSCLIMATE the 2nd MedCoP co-design session took place on February 27th 2024 at CENTA facilities in Carrión de los Céspedes.

The main objectives of the session named “NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS, WATER MANAGEMENT AND REUSE FOR AGRICULTURE IN A DROUGHT CONTEXT” were to:

  • facilitate interaction among attendees to collectively address the challenges and opportunities associated with water management in agriculture
  • share technologies and good practices in Nature Based Solutions implementation and water reuse that have proven to be effective in agriculture.


There was a high level of participation and involvement of the attendees, who had the privilege to share and discuss different perspectives on the subject of water management in agriculture, more specifically, reclaimed water.
